About FaceSoul
Born as Faisal Salah in East Africa, FaceSoul combines his love for singing, poetry, and storytelling to create immersive and atmospheric soundscapes. His upbringing with traditional Islamic roots has been paramount in forming his truth and identity, with his sense of spirituality deeply imbued in his practice.
At 19, he began travelling the world, performing for diverse communities and sharing his story through his voice. These travels revealed the universal nature of human emotions, highlighting that, despite apparent differences, we all share common internal feelings.
Musical Journey and Notable Works
FaceSoul’s artistry is a testament to his experiences and spiritual journey. His album ‘YSRA’, released in 2021, is a creative documentation of his emotional reconnection with himself and the journey home after losing a loved one. The project explores themes of grief, sorrow, joy, love, family, and the human experience, celebrating and honouring vulnerability.
